Description
This smoky, dense, and rich composition is a big, insistent fragrance that represents the romantic phase when the tempestuous love affair between the protagonist and Dev is proceeding in all of its ups and downs. It’s the fundamental seductive scent of Dev, without the darkest and most sinister of the base notes, a spicy, woody, animalic scent that stuns the senses and renders the lover oblivious to any of the horrors and dangers that might lie in wait. It combines the spiritual with the carnal in a rising plume of incense accompanied by the riff of a heavy metal bass played by an entity in a black leather jacket. Released 2012. Notes: three different kinds of labdanum, tolu balsam, black agar, woody accord, musks, synthetic castoreum, synthetic civet, cistus oil, incense, rose, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, cinnamon leaf, immortelle absolute, cade, davana, and leather accord.

Deep, dark, musky, mysterious, sweet smoky scents accent this beautiful masterpiece of a creation. After sampling it, I just knew I had to have it! A true gem, collectible. Any serious scent enthusiast should have this Dev2 in their collection. Great projection and longevity, this is so exotic, that it screams quality!!! Kudos to you Ms. Ellen…

The opening smells of charred wood, sweet animalic leather, resins, and spices. As it dries down I get a lot of cinnamon blended with syrupy labdanum and a dark, wine-like rose, it’s just exquisite. One through four of The Devil Scent Project are sublime to my nose but Dev Two and Four are my favorites. I will likely come back and purchase Dev One and Dev Three as they each have haunting and addictive aromas I don’t think I can live without.

This at first reminded me uncannily of beeswax. But after I wore it longer it morphed and I could sense the cinnamon and cloves people experience. I think somehow with spices and who knows what she recreated the smell of beeswax- which is a great smell. I really grew to love it though and couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist. Hoping to get a full bottle when my travel spray runs out; just not sure which of her 38 (I’m assuming they are all masterpieces) would be best for me. Guess it doesn’t matter, because now I love Dev2.
